Fats, Vitamins and Minerals

Just my fourth day in Yangon and already I am having a bit of an asthma problem (difficulty breathing) - and I’m not quite sure if it’s an allergic reaction to food (I really love the spices) or because of the weather (very hot and humid and sudden rain in the mornings). My hosts have respiratory problems too but more of a flu-kind rather than asthma. The mosquitoes here are also very aggressive and the bites turn really red, which is sign of an allergic reaction to the bites (I don’t get this allergy at all in Manila). However, later it seemed the mosquitoes stopped bothering me too much.

Anyway, now I’m just finalizing materials for my presentation tomorrow (Art and Technologies, An Overview) at the Books for All bookstore in downtown Yangon. Books for All is also a media productions space, they do non-linear video editing and encode Myanmar books into PDF and make available online for people to access for a fee lower than that of the real books.
