A very interesting set of ideas to compare! “Collections” and “Articulation.”

“Collection” is the act or process of collecting or gathering. “Collection” also refers to that which is collected, such as coins, stamps, etc. Although a collection may be organized into certain order or rules, the rules of a “collection” is based on a logic that is more semantic than syntactic. Rescue operations in St. Bernard - ????????????

Dear friends in Taiwan,

Yesterday, the Taiwanese rescue team left Southern Leyte with much sadness, after rescue workers decided to discontinue operations because of the extreme difficulties of working in the area. Because of the rains, the mud in the area has become like quicksand, making it impossible to continue rescue operations. (more…)

Digital Diwa?

�Diw�t Kapook�n/Articulating Spaces� is my proposed title for the exhibition I was commissioned to curate for the NCCA (National Commission on Culture and the Arts) to take place 9 March � 15 April 2006 at the upper galleries of the Metropolitan Museum of Manila. Through �Diw�t Kapook�n�, I hope to make an inquiry into several inter-relating vectors surrounding the Digital Art Competition (formerly “Webgising” meaning “web-wake-up!” and now Websining or “web-art.”) �Diwa�t Kapook�n� hopes to describe the diversity and constraints of digital art�s creative space within the context of a national art competition for digital media.
