And based on comments on my comment, I am thinking of making a few revisions. I would really welcome more comments, please. And I would be interested on other peoples / organizations inputs on the ICT road map as well.

I don’t know what your impressions were when you read it, but on my part, I was quite alarmed at the market-focused approach of the document. It was as if ICT was this great new product that everybody had to consume. It is alarming because everything now - especially people - are being seen as markets, commodities, comsumers. Especially that ICT is being pushed up to the most remote parts of the country.

I think we really need to help enable vital changes in the roadmap, changes that gear more towards principles congruent with life and sustainability, rather than markets, competition and profits. I hope that real broad discussion can take place around this proposed ICT roadmap.
