Survived another day!

Angel flower

Never managed to go out today for errands because I overslept! :( Didn’t manage to have breakfast or lunch either, and Gemma was waiting for me as we were supposed to drop by Lopez museum. Anyway, I hope that happens tomorrow! I do feel rather heavy and so lacking in energy lately … Alwin is also sick. He has fever and colds which started just the other day. I really hope it isn’t anything more serious, maybe his mom will bring him to a doctor later today or early tomorrow. Actually, last night I was supposed to go to bed early already but Alwin went into my room and started playing with Edward and writing on the computer. Then he suddenly had to go to the toilet (it was so funny,he was typing away at the computer when suddenly he started making these funny noises!). Earlier I was teasing him that Edward was no longer wearing a diaper because he’d already been to the toilet!

After that I thought Alwin was already in bed sleeping but he suddenly went into my room again to play with Edward! Oh well, that’s why I wasn’t able to sleep early last night. I think Alwin’s just got an allergy/cold since he’s still very naughty and active and that it’s nothing too serious like dengue.

Anyway, when I went out to see the garden this afternoon, I saw that the angel flowers have started to bloom! :) There was also what looked like a moth resting on one of the flowers. I was able to get really close for this photo (above). This is actually my ex-partner’s angel plant which we bought last year. Recently my mother re-planted it in a larger pot so it could have more room to grow.

Live today on “Serbis on the Go” program on RPN9 at 5PM, they have a resorce person from the Cooperative Development Authority (CDA). I kind of like coops because my dad was actively involved in one (a jeepney transport coop).

CDA data: 27,310 operating cooperatives in the Philippines monitored by coop development specialists in each ditrict. Requirements Coop samahan ng mga tao minimum of 15 persons with small capital can register with CDA to set up a business each member to give service. Capital is 2,000 pesos but viability is checked by CDA. How long does it take? Express lane registration, 2 hours. Privilege enjoyed by registered coop: tax exemption except with non-member transaction, preferential rights to use government spaces, allocation of supplies and fertilizers, exempt from importation tax. Also, CDA gives trainings/briefings about coops.

Also, yesterday, I finally decided to send an email to the Ang Tamang Daan program on Net25. It’s the evangelism program of the Iglesia ni Kristo. I’ve always been impressed with their programming (headed by Kapatid na Michael at Kapatid na Bularan). I think it’s important to send encouraging emails to people who we know are doing a good service to the public, especially nowadays that such goodness is so rare!
