Making book
Posted by: Fats in: Fats, Vitamins & Minerals > What and WhyAlwin and I spent some time this morning making covers for our sketchbooks (actually, I call it experiment, drawing, study book). I got a ream of tabloid size paper and then made covers using some old photos, some drawings and laminating plastic to seal it. Alwin’s mom made covers for Alwin’s book. Then I told Alwin that we should wait for PapaGee (my brother) to use his old binding machine to bind our books. Alwin was so excited!
It was only 10AM and Alwin was asking what time PapaGee comes home from the cemetery and I told him 3PM.
In the meantime Alwin and I spent some time in the garden. Here’s a photo of my dear old cat, Killer George.

And here’s a photo of my other dear (not-so-old) cat Fortun (yes, he is named after one of Joseph Estrada’s younger defense lawyers) ![]()

And here’s a photo of my mom’s orchids, which were later cut to bring to my dad’s grave at the cemetery.

And of course, my peppers.

And finally, 3PM, PapaGee arrived and the first thing we did was proceed to the book binding work. It was quite tough. It’s this weird machine that punches holes on paper then you put these plastic binders through them and then use the machine to melt the ends of the plastic to seal it.
Alwin’s book turned out really nice but mine was a disaster! It was burned and the ends of the plastic weren’t melted properly!
And Alwin kept showing off his book and kept asking my why mine got burned.
Oh well.
