A call from Grace! :)

It was so funny, I was teasing her that I didn’t recognize her voice because she already had “Canadian accent”! 
So she’s doing quite well, rather homesick, but at least she has a job in Canada (she had a very difficult time finding a job here in the Philippines). She is also housesitting for her sister who arrives here in Manila tomorrow. I do hope to visit Grace in Canada soon, if there is an opportunity (i.e. I get funding for the airfare, since I still cannot afford it).
Now, I’m just waiting for Alwin and family to arrive from Batangas. Edward and Maria are all waiting for Alwin anxiously!
In the meantime, I’ve gotten back to uploading the artworks from 2005-2006 into the Websining digital art gallery, and when that’s complete, the entries for 2007 will be next and should be ready for the judging and voting next year. Quite tough doing all these on a dial-up!
And I really should rest properly in between work too - I must admit that I have been abusing my body again by staying up all night and sleeping in the daytime. Not good practice at all, somehow, sleep in the nighttime is different from sleep during the day. So no matter how much water I’ve been drinking (though I still probably don’t eat enough), my skin has become rather dark and dry again, and I have this persistent cough…
There isn’t as much food for Christmas now too, largely because there are less family members at home, and less family members to celebrate with (my cousins have mostly gone overseas already), and as with most Filipino families, the cost of food and most basic needs have gone up, and thus, having a feast is simply not very affordable.
Oh well, life goes on, and hopefully things get better next year.
And just yesterday I heard on the news that there was an intensity 2 earthquake in General Santos City. Strange all these earth activity there…
