Patience and crochet

With Edward, of course.

The pattern is from a book that I bought with my dad over 20 years ago!
I bought the book (encyclopedia of needlework) together with a crochet hook, a knitting needle and several balls of yarn). I thought this pattern was a good refresher. I had several problems - first, my eyes aren’t so good anymore so I had difficulty focusing with my glasses; second, I couldn’t understand the abbreviations and the instructions and so had to review everything from the basic stitches; and third, my fingers weren’t used to the work and so it took a bit of time.
The pattern is also nice because it included several stitches: chain stitch, single crochet, double crochet, treble, double treble, tripe treble and picot stitch.
Alwin was watching when I started and asked what trevor was doing in the crochet when I said treble.
In between the work I was getting so impatient that I thought of giving up a few times. I suppose this is a good exercise and test of patience!
Now, let’s see if I get to finish anything!
