Hairpin lace work in progress
Posted by: Fats in: Edward fans club > NeedleworksI just finished a second length of yellow hairpin lace crochet (each one is about 350 loops long). I intend to make one hairpin lace each day and not try to do more than that so as not to work too obsessively. My hands could get rather painful if I work too much. I’ve been reading about RSI and people who knit or crochet and the disability could be really bad that some people have had to close their shops or stop teaching needlework or not do any more needlework at all. RSI is indeed a very serious disability.
Here’s a photo of Edward with the two laces I’ve finished thus far. I wound the laces around the knitting needles I got over a week ago at a crafts store in SM Megamall. The white fork-like thing is the hairpin lace staple which I got from the same store. The big spool of yellow thread is a Monaco raylon. It’s been around probably over 30 years since they belong to my grandmother who died ages ago. My mom found these threads at the back of the house, and gave them to me.
Lucky, so I won’t have to buy threads.
