					<description>Some people might find the pattern 'instructions' confusing because they are not really 'instructions.' What I have done is write down descriptions of the parts that make up the pattern (i.e. the scallop, picot edge and picot stupa).

I decided to do this because it is, for me, more 'intuitive' and, hopefully, renders the pattern more conceptually graspable to those interested. The patterns therefore become 'modular', subject to improvisation.</description>
