Different times

My humans were going to photograph the onion before planting it yesterday -however the battery in the camera expired and it took hours to recharge. By the time the camera was working again, it was the next day already and the onion was starting to look rather expired itself. Several bits that seemed to be growing out underneath have fallen off.
In the meantime, they did save a bit of carrot top and the bottom bit of some “pechay” stalks from yesterday’s meal (soy chicken -I hope they don’t get attacked by angry chickens while out shopping today)…. Unfortunately the new additions don’t look too promising iether -so I suppose the “Global Have your Cake and Eat it Too!” project will have to wait…. all because cameras and plants come from different worlds with different life cycles.

However, perhaps planting the left-overs is a good way to test the freshness of one’s vegetables. I guess it doesn’t work with mice -so I’ll just have to keep catching new ones myself so I know they are fresh. Although I did hear that lizards could grow new tails if the old one got eaten…..
Apparently, the humans did save a few orange and grape seeds for planting -so perhaps not all hope is lost….
