but as this shoe wasn't for deformed "Golden Lotus" feet, i'm sure the old ladies would snub it and say it was for a Mongolian peasant.

hmmm. maybe you can embrace the hypothetical snub, and make another pair fully embellished with turquoises and silver beads with bells in them?  ;-)</description>
