Kitty now a Certified Pain in the Ass (CPA)

At two months, Kitty is now a Certified Pain in the Ass! ;)

Below is a photo of her disrupting my work to have a peek at herself in the mirror! ;)

Last Sunday, Trevor and I decided to bring Kitty to my mom’s house for a short visit. The 10-minute walk frightened her - the noise of the cars, tricycles, people. First I had her in my bag, then she crawled out of it and clawed her way up to my chest - argh! ;)

So Trevor had to take her and then she clawed her way up to his head! Argh! ;)

We had to stop at the church and twice over the pavement to rest and give her some kitty pellets. She seemed comforted by the food, and also seemed comforted by seeing me as we walked.

When we got to my mom’s house George and Fortun were there! Oh boy! :)

Alwin got very excited too but he calmed down a bit when he saw that poor little Kitty was so nervous. Actually, Alwin was quite good but of course any slight noise and movement from anybody other than Trevor and me scared poor little Kitty!

After over an hour or so, we took Kitty back home. Alwin asked when we were bringing Kitty back. He really liked little Kitty especially when she was playing on the flower box, exploring the plants, rocks and cacti. The cacti especially got Alwin excited - well, both Alwin and Trevor cringed when Kitty climbed over the cacti! Although Trevor cringed for the poor cactus (which got uprooted) and Alwin cringed for poor Kitty (she got pricked a little bit).

Overall, Trevor said that Kitty did very well. At least, she didn’t run away or jump up a tree or cornered herself somewhere we couldn’t find or retrieve her. It was very exhausting, though! :) When we got her back home, she ate and slept - just as exhausted by the adventure. Now she is back to being a pain in the ass. I made a few toys for her with string, cardboard and the plastic egg container which gave her many happy hours running and jumping.

But now she is a pain in the ass again. I guess once a CPA always a CPA! ;)

We do hope she will mellow down as she gets older. :)

In the meantime, we heard another kitten crying outside. Trevor and I are thinking of getting it again - for Kitty to play with. They say it is better to have two kittens at home rather than one who will grow up with a PhD in Pain-in-the-Assology! ;)
